PHARMACY & DRUG DISTRIBUTION · PHILIPPINE OPERATORS
Pharmacy software built for Philippine compliance.
FDA LTO, PDEA S2 logging, DOH MDRP price caps, batch-and-expiry, and BIR-accredited POS — built into the system, not billed as add-ons.
SAP Business One and NetSuite price Philippine pharmacy compliance — S2 logging, MDRP enforcement, the SC/PWD discount ledger — as separate customization projects that cost more than the base licence.
What this costs you today
Your local pharmacy POS handles the counter, not an FDA inspection.
Local POS systems (Oasistech, KwikPOS, Medsoftwares) issue the OR and track OTC stock. They do not generate the PDEA S2 dispensing log, enforce the DOH MDRP ceiling per SKU, or produce a batch cross-branch report during a recall.
SAP Business One and NetSuite treat compliance as a paid add-on.
PH implementation partners scope PDEA S2 recording, MDRP enforcement, and BIR SC/PWD summaries as separate customizations at ₱500K–2M each. A compliant SAP or NetSuite pharmacy build frequently totals ₱8M–15M and takes 18–24 months.
S2 records in a physical register are a PDEA inspection waiting to happen.
The dispensing log for schedule-regulated drugs is required under RA 9165. A searchable, tamper-evident digital record with role-restricted access is more defensible — the question is whether your system can produce it on demand across every branch.

- SAP Business One₱4M–12M one-time (indicative range)
- NetSuite₱3M–8M one-time + ₱600K–1.2M/year (indicative range)
- Local pharmacy POS (Oasistech, KwikPOS, Medsoftwares)₱60K–180K/year per 12-branch chain (indicative range)
- Sprout HR / Payroll₱120K–240K/year for typical headcount (indicative range)
A 12-branch retail pharmacy chain quoted ₱3M–8M by a NetSuite partner and ₱4M–12M by a SAP Business One partner — neither quote including PH-specific compliance fields — owns an Orkids build covering POS, retail, distribution, BIR, document OCR, and reporting across all 12 branches outright. Typically 30–50% of what they quote you. (Composite illustration based on PH market patterns.)

Questions buyers ask.
Yes. The sales journal, OR-series management, and all BIR CA/PTU technical documentation are generated by the system. You submit the application; the system produces what BIR requires.
The S2 dispensing receipt and the standard OTC OR are separate formats, both handled by the same system, with S2 fields auto-populated from the dispensing record.
The dispensing module captures all PDEA-required fields at point of sale — prescribing physician PRC number, drug, quantity, patient identity — and generates the periodic PDEA summary.
S2 records are restricted to authorised pharmacy staff by role, every access event is logged, and records are retained for the PDEA-required statutory period. (Source: RA 9165; PDEA Board Regulation No. 1, s. 2002.)
Yes. The POS blocks any sale above the MDRP ceiling for covered products before the transaction completes. Price-list updates apply as a data import.
The MDRP update is a data operation, not a code deployment — included under optional ops, or run as a structured file import by self-managed operators. (Source: RA 9502; DOH Circular 2024-0001.)
Every unit received is recorded with batch/lot number and expiry. A recall notice matches against all branch inventory, showing affected stock and any already-dispensed units by date.
The report runs across every branch in minutes. Without system-level batch tracking, identifying affected stock requires manual shelf checks across each location — and the delay is the risk.
The cashier selects SC or PWD and enters the ID; the POS applies the 20% discount before VAT, prints the ID on the receipt, and logs the transaction for the monthly BIR summary.
The end-of-month SC/PWD deduction-claim summary is generated by the reporting module — not assembled from printed receipts by the bookkeeper. (Source: RA 9994, RA 10754; BIR RR 7-2010.)
