What does the WhatsApp CFO daily brief include?

Cash position, AR aging summary, payroll status (processed, pending, exceptions), inventory at risk (below par or expiring), and any threshold alerts triggered overnight.

The brief is structured, not narrative. Each section is a labeled figure: 'Cash: ₱4.2M as of 11:59pm', 'AR overdue >60 days: ₱320K — 3 accounts', 'Payroll: 94 processed, 6 exceptions'. You read it in 60 seconds. If a line needs action, you know who to call; the brief says which account or which exception, not just that there is one.

Is it secure to receive financial data on WhatsApp?

WhatsApp Business uses end-to-end encryption in transit. The brief shows summary figures only — no account numbers in full, no employee IDs, no raw supplier data.

The brief format is designed for a personal device, not for audit-grade disclosure. Detailed records — supplier invoices, payroll line items — stay in the Orkids system and are accessed through the authenticated portal. The WhatsApp message is a signal; the full record is a tap away in the portal.

Who receives the morning brief?

You configure the recipient list during onboarding — typically the owner, the CFO, and one operations head. Each recipient can receive a full or a section-filtered version.

Role-based filtering is set at configuration time and can be adjusted without a code change. The owner receives the full brief including cash and AR. An operations head can receive only the inventory and payroll sections. A branch manager can receive only their branch numbers. Access control is part of the setup, not an afterthought.

Can I reply to the WhatsApp message with follow-up questions?

Yes. The WhatsApp CFO message comes from a number connected to Ops Copilot. Reply with a question in plain language and get a direct answer from your live data.

This is the same query layer as the Ops Copilot module — WhatsApp is the delivery channel, not a separate system. 'How much did the Davao branch bill last week?' asked via WhatsApp reply returns the same answer as the same question typed in the Ops Copilot interface.

How current is the data in the morning brief?

The brief pulls from the Orkids database at generation time — typically 6:30am — using prior-day closing figures and any overnight transactions up to the configured cutoff.

If your operations run overnight — food and beverage, 24-hour retail, logistics — the brief captures transactions up to the cutoff you set. The cutoff can be 11:59pm, 2am, or any hour that reflects your actual closing time. The last-update time is shown in every brief so you know the freshness of each figure.

What if a figure in the brief looks wrong?

The brief includes a link to the source record in the Orkids portal. One tap opens the underlying transaction list for any figure that looks off.

If a source record is wrong, the fix is made in the Orkids system — not in the brief. The next morning's brief reflects the corrected figure. For urgent corrections, Ops Copilot lets you pull the corrected number immediately from a WhatsApp reply without waiting for the scheduled brief.

Is WhatsApp CFO a separate product or included in the Orkids build?

It is included in the ₱50K–250K/month ops tier — not a standalone product, no separate WhatsApp API fee charged to you.

The WhatsApp Business API connection, message formatting, and Ops Copilot integration are built and operated by Orkids. You receive a phone number to add to your contacts. There is no vendor dashboard to manage, no message template approval process to navigate on your side, and no per-message fee.

Can it alert me when a specific metric crosses a threshold?

Yes. Threshold alerts are separate from the daily brief and send immediately when triggered — low cash, overdue AR over a set amount, payroll exception, inventory below par.

Thresholds are set during onboarding and can be adjusted by the operator without a code change. An alert is a single-line message: the value, the threshold crossed, and a link to the source record. The design is one action required — read it and call the right person — not a report to dig through.
